About This Experience
Edinburgh in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and travel northwest into the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. Pass Stirling Castle before stopping at Kilmahog for refreshments, with a chance to spot the famous Highland coos depending on the season.
Continue through Rob Roy Country and Campbell, taking in the striking landscapes of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount before arriving at Glen Coe, where you can pause for photographs and admire one of Scotland’s most spectacular glens.
Travel onwards via Loch Linnhe and stop near Fort William for lunch before entering the scenic Great Glen. Pass beneath Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, and continue through the charming village of Fort Augustus towards Urquhart Castle. Here, you can choose an optional castle visit and Loch Ness cruise at an additional cost.
Next, head to the Clansman Hotel for around an hour of leisure time. Relax with the option of enjoying a gin tasting by Great Glen Gins, accompanied by a 10% shop voucher, or explore the surrounding area, including the Old Coffin Road walking route. Alternatively, take a scenic one-hour return cruise on Loch Ness and enjoy spectacular views towards Urquhart Castle.
Stretching for approximately 24 miles and reaching depths of more than 700 feet, Loch Ness is world-famous for its legendary monster, affectionately known as “Nessie.” Begin the return journey through Cairngorms National Park and the beautiful woodland landscapes of Perthshire. Pass through the Forest of Atholl and stop in the Victorian town of Pitlochry for an evening refreshment break before continuing back to Edinburgh.
